Buying the blue tick

After recently implementing the option to purchase meta verification (buying the blue tick) in certain international markets, Meta has announced that this option is coming to businesses in NZ this week.

why should I buy it?

Apart from the blue checkmark appearing in-app, purchasing Meta's Verified Business package will also give you increased impersonation protection, more account support access, and improved discoverability in comments and search.

what does it cost?

Meta says that its verification for business plan will start from NZD$34.99 a month.

is it worth it?

It's a bit of a "wait-and-see" approach to this one and we're keeping an eye on how this will affect Meta's algorithm. As more brands take the opportunity up, it'll be interesting to see how that impacts non-paying accounts and overall engagement. Watch.this.space.
